-11 Day Dieta

Performed by Ruben, our master healer and Herbalista. The healer elects for each person in diet the appropriate plant or root for their specific requirements and body types of which they will daily drink extracts or concoctions. These plants are called plantas maestras or teacher plants. In order that the master plant can do a very profound job, participants have a  simple meal twice a day without using salt nor sugar. Each one is totally isolated in individual tambos (wooden huts)in the jungle with very little contact, taking advantage of the time alone to medidate in solitude using the influence of the medicine plants to aid introspection. It is the traditional way to experience the gifts of the medicine and exercise willpower and resolve. We avoid the use of chemical products including toothpaste, soap, insect repellent etc. As well we observe silence. This way we allow that the master plants work  to balance feelings, to strengthen and purify our body, mind and spirit, to enhance our dreams and visions.  During our 11-day retreat we will have 4 ceremonies of Ayahuasca which is the “mother of plants” that helps to transform ourselves during the Dieta. The teacher plants put a tiny seed in our soul’s soil that can grow into a beautiful internal garden if we nourish and care for it diligently in our everyday lives. It is your opportunity to start just such a garden with the ancient Dieta jungle practice.

-Post Dieta 3 to 5 days

A three to five day Dieta designed to smooth the return to normal alimentation after a Mythic Voyage or a full 11 day Dieta and to allow your body to be accustomed to salt, spices, dairy and meats while at the same time winding down ingestion of medicine plants in a healthy and gradual way. It offers healing body work, cleansing combinations of plants and roots and is adapted to individual needs and body types. Of course, actual post Dieta continues for 2-12 weeks after leaving the center with a diet of vegetables, fish and chicken, no dairy or red meat, no sweets, alcool or drugs and no sex if one wishes to obtain the most benefits from the teacher plants that keep informing the body for many weeks after the actual Dieta.

Post Dieta cost 40USD per day on top of your full board accommodation cost.
